In my consulting work I combine academic expertise and creative research methods to provide clients with straightforward and thoughtful analysis. Drawing on over 15 years of professional experience studying Latin America, I provide in-depth regional knowledge on policy issues including democracy, corruption, violence, and human rights.
 
My work emphasizes clear writing, meticulous research utilizing a range of sources, and diverse mapping and data visualization techniques. With a background as an educator, I am skilled at communicating complex ideas to audiences of non-experts and experts alike.

Previous projects have utilized both desk and field research, and my approach is highly adaptable. Clients have included the Center for Civilians in Conflict, the U.S. Institute of Peace, and InSight Crime.
